Let’s face it, dudes were at their peak in the 80’s. The 80’s were basically a non-stop dude party. Since Poison and Def Leppard are going back on tour this year, it must be time to revisit those bygone days and celebrate dude-ness, dude. The year: 1988. The mix: Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude!

- Welcome to the Jungle – Guns N’ Roses
- We’re Not Gonna Take It – Twisted Sister
- Nothing but a Good Time – Poison
- Jump – Van Halen
- Cum on Feel the Noize – Quiet Riot
- Eye of the Tiger – Survivor
- Rock You Like a Hurricane – Scorpions
- Pour Some Sugar on Me – Def Leppard
- You Shook Me All Night Long – AC/DC
- Round and Round – Ratt
- Here I Go Again – Whitesnake
- Just Like Paradise – David Lee Roth
Mix available for listening here, dude.
I’ll be out of town for August’s mix. See everyone in two months!

Hi. I’m new here. But it’s pretty awesome so far.

Since I’m new, I thought I’d use my mix to introduce myself. I’m a teacher, so summers are pretty special for me. This mix is what they are like:
- Walking Distance — Buzzcocks
- Go Wild In The Country — Bow Wow Wow
- Truck — The Octopus Project
- It’s Not the Heat, It’s the Humanity — The Bouncing Souls
- It’s a Bright Light — Tuesday
- Keeping Warm in the Nighttime — Pinhead Gunpowder
- Heat/Humidity — So Many Dynamos
- Help Help — Mates Of State
- Cool This Madness Down — Common Rider
- Express Yourself — N.W.A.
- Summertime — The Fire Theft
- You are the Sunshine of My Life — Stevie Wonder
- The Summer Ends — American Football
Summer starts off with a party. A party that words cannot describe. You go a little bit wild. You dance a round a little bit and smile a lot. Then it gets unbearably hot, but you don’t care because it’s summer! Then it gets really bright outside all the time. No matter, it’s summer! Even at night, it’s sunny and hot. Okay, this is starting to get ridiculous. No rain for a whole month? AARRGH! This is driving me crazy! I need some sort of help. That’s what I’m saying. Just relax and enjoy the cooling evenings of early autumn. Remember who you are. Sit by the ocean a while and, if you can, share your last restful moments of summer with the person that means the most to you. Remember there’s probably something better than sunshine in your life. Something that will fuel you through the upcoming winter. And then, we’ll see what happens when the summer ends.
So that’s summer for a teacher as best as I can capture it with my music collection. I’m looking forward to it!
Do your homework (download this mix).
See everyone next month.
